Bulli 'Cor' Colli Piacentini Rosso NV (Emilia-Romagna, Italy)
The Bulli 'Cor' is a distinct Italian field blend of mostly old vine (10-50 year old) 60% Barbera, 30% Bonarda (Croatina), and 10% Uva Rara by winemaker Leonardo Bulli, the fifth generation winemaker to run the Bulli Estate. Fermented with native yeasts, practicing organic, and with no added sulfites, this wine offers everything one might look for from a natural wine.
Although light and zippy with notes of crunchy red fruits, this wine also offers a fairly rustic quality, with some surprising minerality and saltiness. While we love to put a chill on this supremely drinkable wine, it does need roughly 30-40 minutes of air to let those rustic tannins relax a bit.
Food Ideas: charcuterie spreads, burgers off the grill, lamb kefta kebabs, spaghetti and meatballs, mushroom risotto, crispy arancini
ABV: 12.5%
