
Masseria Celentano 'Vallirosa' Rosato 2024 (Puglia, Italy)
Alberto Longo’s Masseria Celentano is a 17th century estate located in the ancient town of Lucera, where idyllic white cliffs drop off into the Adriatic sea. The winery is committed to not only producing high quality wines but also preserving and promoting the region’s rich cultural and historical traditions.
The ‘Vallirosa’ is made from 100% Negroamaro grapes, harvested in early September, which then undergoes a very short pressing to maintain an elegant freshness from this generally rather rustic, fruit-forward varietal. We get notes of ripe red fruits balanced by a vibrant acidity and enough body to hold up to a wide variety of meals while also making for an excellent aperitif.
