
Maria Cruz Garcia Tempranillo 2023 (Navarra, Spain)
Since 1999 Maria Cruz Garcia and her husband Carlos Aliaga have been proudly running their 80-hectare family farm in “the old way,” meaning using indigenous native yeasts with no other additives. The arid desert climate here (the lowest rainfall in Spain!) and dry winds keep the vines mildew and fungus free, allowing them to take an incredibly low-intervention approach in their vineyards.
This Tempranillo is bursting with notes of juicy dark berry fruit and warm baking spices. Soft tannins and a gentle acidity provide just the right amount of structure to balance the plush fruit, making for an incredibly elegant and drinkable red.
