Rob and his wife Deborah established Barnard Griffin Winery in 1983 with a small truckload of borrowed fruit and a rented cellar. At the time, they were pioneers in the wild-west of winemaking. It has now grown to become one of Washington’s most enduring and award-winning wineries.

About a third of this Chardonnay was fermented in French oak and a third went through malolactic fermentation, adding nice weight and softness while preserving bright acidity. We get ripe and tart apple with touches of butter and citrus to balance. A nice alternative for those California oaky Chard drinkers in the house who would like to try a new state!
