Cardedu 'Bucce' Bianco Macerato Sardegna, Italy 2019

Cardedu 'Bucce' Bianco Macerato Sardegna, Italy 2019

Regular price $21.00

Bucce means skins, as in macerated on the skins. So here macerato=orange wine.

Cardedu is one of the island's better-known traditional producers and the Loi family doesn't think of itself as a natural wine producer.  It's just the way they've been making wine for quite some time --fermenting with native yeasts in temperature controlled tanks (if needed) and there's dry farming without the use of herbicides or pesticides.

This blend of Vermentino, Cannonau, and Nasco is super interesting and definitely worth a try if you've been wanting to explore orange wines at a great price. Only 500 cases made.

Food Pairings:  Zuppa di cozze, aged goat cheese and rosemary focaccia, salad of quinoa, arugula, sardines, and toasted sesame seeds
