Our importer describes the Graves region as “a beauty asleep in her woods and forests.” Holding this scene in our mind as we taste this wine is deliciously transportive. The brambly fruit layers branch elegantly and the acidity comes through like one of those breezes that makes the leaves twinkle.
This wine expresses Bordeaux with a delicacy you don’t see everyday. After some air (about 30 minutes to one hour we’d say), it'll give you chewy red fruits, dried herbs and meaty mushrooms. The nose has a warm woody quality, with a clean graphite minerality on the palate to balance.
