Grochau Cellars Melon de Bourgogne 2021 (Willamette Valley, Oregon)
Rarely grown outside of the Loire Valley region of France, where it is used to make famously mineral and zippy Muscadet wines, Grochau Cellars puts their own spin on this varietal with a nod to its French origins. The minerality, salinity, and incredibly bright acidity are certainly present, and the Sur Lie aging provides just the right amount of body. This Melon de Bourgogne, however, shows a bolder fruit than its French counterpart, which makes for a delightfully bright and unique white wine.
