Pierpaolo Pecorari Pinot Grigio 2020 (Friuli, Italy)
The Pierpaolo Pecorari winery is located in the sun-kissed DOC of Insonzo del Friuli, where the pebbly, sandy soils aid in producing complex and delightfully mineral white wines.
This unoaked Pinot Grigio has tons of bright notes of juicy pear and zesty lemon, but where it really shines is the lovely weightiness and texture provided by allowing the wine to age on the lees for about 7 months. The depth and body this achieves plays beautifully with the wine’s vibrancy, resulting in a rich yet delicate wine with a lingering, stony finish. Excellent with seafood of all kinds, but makes perfect pre-meal aperitif as well!
