Dão, in central Portugal, is one of the country’s oldest established wine regions and the home of the Touriga Nacional grape. The climate is temperate due to the mountainous landscape, producing wines with good acidity along with spice and structure.

This blend of 50% Jaen (AKA Mencia in Spain) and 50% Touriga Nacional is fermented in stainless steel, allowing the fruit to take center stage in this dry medium bodied red. We get plum and licorice, red and dark cherry, earthy spice, and firm tannins on the finish.

Food Ideas: Winter squash risotto, roast pork over polenta, roasted bell pepper salad with anchovy
white beans, roasted mackerel and fresh herb salad
