Delaunay 'La Vignette' Rose Touraine 2024 (Loire Valley, France)
Established in 1965, the Delaunay vineyards have been cultivated for 5 generations. Bottling their first wine in 1971, Thierry Delaunay has now become widely known both in France and abroad for his well-crafted, modern-styled expressions of Touraine wines.
This blend of Gamay, Cabernet Franc, and Côt (Malbec) is tank fermented and left on its lees for about three months- providing us a well balanced, lively yet supple rosé. Red currants and bright red fruit are met with a subtle spiciness and a fresh, almost herbal note. Interestingly enough, this is a rosé that holds up extremely well over the course of a few days, so feel free to spend some extra time with it.
Food Ideas: Steak with Chimichurri, peach & tomato salad with burrata, green goddess chicken salad, grilled shrimp kebabs
ABV: 12%
