Grochau Cellars Albarino Threemile Vineyard 2024 (Willamette Valley, Oregon)
First introduced to winemaking in his 20s while cycling through some of France’s most revered wine regions as a cyclist on a French racing team, John Grochau really ignited a passion for wine after working in restaurants in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. Producing his first vintage as owner and winemaker in 2002, Grochau has been making fresh, balanced, famously food friendly wines ever since.
While most often associated with Spain and Portugal, Oregon has begun planting the varietal, and the young vines produce delightfully fresh wines. We get notes of ripe stone fruit on the palate balanced by a fresh acidity and a nice minerality coming through on the finish.
Food Ideas: Crispy fish tacos, feta-stuffed peppers, burrata ravioli with pesto, pad thai, pork chops with fresh peaches and basil
ABV: 13.3%
