Gustave Lorentz L'ami des Crustaces Pinot Blanc Classique 2024 (Alsace, France)
Maison Gustave Lorentz was founded in 1836 in the village of Bergheim nestled in the heart of Alsace. Now with 45 hectares of vineyards and 7 generations of winemaking under their belt, the estate is now run by George Lorents alongside his 3 daughters. Together they produce an exquisite range of Alsatian wines from some of the region’s best Crus. In 2009, they began converting the winery to organic agriculture, and by 2012 all of the wines they produce were fully organic.
This 100% Pinot Blanc is fresh and lively, with a brisk, zippy acidity balanced by notes of ripe orchard fruit and a briny, crushed-stone minerality. As the label implies, it's the perfect pairing for seafood and shellfish of any kind, especially raw oysters.
Food Ideas: Pork schnitzel, pan seared scallops, pasta with creamy gorgonzola sauce, Sole Amandine, quiche lorraine, Oysters!
ABV: 12.5%
