Mary Taylor Luca Triacca Rosso di Valtellina 2021 (Lombardy, Italy)
The Triacca estate was established in 1897 in the Valgella region of Valtellina. Now in their 5th generation, the Triacca family farms using respectful and sustainable vineyard practices. Valtellina is a marvelous wine growing zone in the Lombardy region on the Italian-Swiss border, along the eastern Alps.The high altitude here allows for a cooler climate Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca.
This is a more delicate Nebbiolo than its counterparts in Piedmont. Fresh and vibrant, with notes of juicy red berries, tender herbs, and subtle hint of florals. Lighter bodied with a bright acidity, this wine has just enough soft tannins to give it some nice structure. Delightful with a light chill!
